Payment Information

“Bursar” is a term unique to higher education. The bursar bills and collects tuition, fees, campus housing, and other university-related charges. We are here to provide you with the best possible service and information.

General tips to help you keep track of and understand the information we send you:

  • Carefully read everything you receive from any UIndy office.
  • Create a file for your college bills and correspondence or notes you make about those bills. Include your tuition and fee bill, and other information including receipts and loan information.
  • Write down the name of the person you talk with if you call or drop by to ask questions. If you need to follow up, you'll know whom to ask for again.
  • It is your responsibility to be aware of deadlines and University policies, such as payment due dates.

We wish you a happy and successful experience during your enrollment at the University of Indianapolis!

Our Mission

The mission of the Bursar at the University of Indianapolis is to handle all financial transactions involving students as efficiently and accurately as possible, while always providing the highest level of respectful and courteous quality customer service.

Statement of Student Financial Responsibility

Each student attending the University of Indianapolis assumes responsibility for payment of all University-related expenses not covered by financial aid awarded by the University.  Financial responsibility includes meeting payment deadlines, fulfilling loan or grant requirements, and addressing outstanding balances—even if someone else is making the payments for you.

Students who withdraw from the University must make arrangements to meet all outstanding financial obligations to the University.  Examples of such obligations are tuition and fees, room and board, health service related fees, and traffic fines.  The student’s transcript will not be released until payment of all obligations has been made in full.

Each graduating student must pay all financial obligations to the University prior to graduation.  A University of Indianapolis diploma will not be awarded until this obligation is met.
